Great Django Related Links! New to the Jazz  Manouche scene? Following are links to all of the great Django related sites where I learned Selmer/Maccaferri guitars, and every bit of  information imaginable related to Django Reinhardt, his life, his music, his contemporaries, and the "Guitares-Italiennes"!

  • The Django Swing Page- The best place to start! A great "user-driven and developed" site! Here you will find a bit of everything! Articles, chords, tab, midi files, interviews, shopping, history, and links to practically every single Gypsy Jazz site on the Web!.

  • Hot Club Records- Click here buy all the original Django recordings, as well as the largest collection from all of the modern greats!the best of the

  • Gadjo Drom- It's in French, but from from the liitle bit I've translated for far, it's the French equivalent of the Django Swing Page! Click on "Grilles" to navigate to the largest collection of Django music charts on the Internet! (No French needed for this page!)

  • The Hot Club Of San Francisco A fanstasic group from my neck of the woods. (The San Francisco Bay Area). I've seen them in concert several times, and occasionally take lessons private from the lead guitar player! Checkout his instructional video!

  • The Rosenberg Trio- The best! I had the honor of seeing them perform in Amsterdam, and then meeting them backstage after the concert. fter that, we spent another hour or so in the lobby while they signed autographs and mingled with the crowd. A wonderful experience.!  All thanks to my friends "Archtop" Eddy Parsons, and Mary and Peter Honcoop!

  • Mango Fan Django- "Archtop" Eddy's Colorado-based, Django/Reggae band. Before I met Eddy, my knowledge and interest in playing Gypsy Jazz was just beginning to get started, and my guitar collection was focused on archtops. Thanks, to him I've become a full Djangohead!. This website grew out of numerous e-mail and telephone conversations with him.

  • The Robin Nolan Trio- I haven't heard any of their music yet, but I hear from reliable sources that they are very good! If you want to learn to lay the music, buy their instructional books full of Gypsy jazz standards! It's in tabulature and comes with a great play-along CD. Perfect for both beginners and advanced players alike!
